The Amsterdamse Bos (935 Hectare in area) was planted in the 1930's for the use of all Amsterdamer's. There are many recreational facilities available in the woods.

Nudist recreation is permitted in the so named Zonneweide area of the Amsterdamse woods. The Zonneweide is a large open area of easily 2 hectare situated in the woods and with only one path of entry.
This nudist beach has only laying meadows and no swimming water.
There are no further facilities available on the nudist beach.
